Positive: I found it difficult to write this review and give an overall rating. The property is in a beautiful setting and we really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. It is quite well equipped with everything you need to stay for a week and I expect many people would have a fantastic time staying here. However, there are significant downsides (see below). I can't give a higher score because there was a significant leak through the bathroom ceiling when we stayed, which was not dealt with adequately by the management company and impacted the enjoyment of our holiday.

Negative: The property description does not make it clear that it is actually in a cave. This is charming and I expect nice and cool in the summer months. However, when we stayed (in January) there was a lot of rain, and the cave is not waterproof. For several days water was dripping through the ceiling constantly. When we contacted the management company, they promised to find a 'solution' (there was no solution) and I had to tell them what to do - bring buckets and towels to try and contain the water. I expected them to offer something to acknowledge the situation (at least an apology!) but they did nothing. Other reasons that some people might not like the property: - It was quite damp inside (they provided a dehumidifier which helped) - There were a lot of millipedes inside - There is no door between the bedroom and living room/kitchen, and no door between the bedroom and bathroom. There is also a opening between the bathroom and the kitchen, so there is no privacy when using the toilet... - It is quite dark inside - there are only windows at the front - It is very difficult to find and the management company sent instructions with a Google pin in the wrong location. We only found it with the help of a friendly local neighbour - It is very remote, great if you want to stay far away from other people, but not ideal if you want to visit more of the island! If you are the sort of people who like solitude and don't mind such problems, then I recommend it and think you will have a wonderful stay.
