Maison Marcelin is named for Marcelin Albert, considered the leader of the winegrowers revolt of 1907 & the "Robin Hood" of the Languedoc-Roussillon. A metal sculpture in his honor was placed across the street in 2007 to celebrate the independent spirit of this area. Maison Marcelin is a 200-year-old village house that was fully renovated in 1999 after the record-breaking November flood. A plausible story has the house as the stable for the one behind it.
