Casa Velero is a beautiful semi-detached, modern, rustic Villa built with the best materials: stone, terracotta floors and tiles, etc. Only 100m away from the water edge and in the best area of town, quiet but within five minutes of all the central amenities. Please note that due to the nature of the garden ''spikes in captus and palms'' and to the very quiet nature of this area children are only allowed in the property if accompanied in the garden areas .The spacious and bright open plan kitchen-dinning-living area is superbly equipped to the standard of a modern home. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The first floor master bedroom has two terraces facing the north-east sunrise, the sea, Lobos Island and the beautiful cactus garden and large shared pool and barbecue and a south-west secluded terrace for private sun tanning. The U shape design of the mini complex of six houses makes the beautiful palm and captus garden, a heaven for relaxation and sun tanning. Its large (9 m by 4 m) pool and solarium with lounges and chairs , will make difficult the decision of walking to the famous Corralejo Sand dunes or the nearby shops, market and water Park.
Food, shopping, travel, night life, banks: Corralejo offers a great variety of good restaurants to appreciate local and international cuisine, many of them along a promenade overlooking the sea,There is a wide choice of nice shops and Supermarkets. A bus service operates throughout the Island, and a boat leaves hourly sailing to Lanzarote (18 min journey). The harbour offers all sort of entertainment from Catamaran sailing to fishing or day trips to Lobos Island. The night life is great ,with a variety of bars offering life music, or a quiet drink depending on mood. There are international banks too.
Kite surfing, wind-surfing, sailing, scuba diving: Fuerteventura is well known for the spectacular beaches and sun dunes of the Parque Natural, which is approx. 500 m away from Casa Velero, stretching for 14 km. the Rocky Point (one of the best surfing spots in Canaries) is five minutes walking another five and you are in Flag Beach one of the 'hot' spots for windsurfing and kite surfing in Europe. Carry on into Oliva Beach with its gorgeous dunes and you have your day. Some people come to Fuerteventura just to see this breathtaking Natural Park. Organized trips to do scuba diving, sailing, Jet ski, etc. is just 400 m away from Casa Velero. If you stay longer than a week, renting a car will allow you to see other beautiful places in this exotic Island. In the south, Cofete is a unique sight and the inside of the Island with its old capital city Antigua or the postcard beauty of Betancuria make worth a day in car, driving through gentle hills of volcanic origin.
Exotic days out, mountain bike, horse riding: Help with car rental, and transfers from and to the airport, with a large van (for groups with more than 4 people or with large luggage e. g. surf boards, etc). Occasionally I take guests for short excursions, volcano climbing, and mountain biking or surf tuition. I can organize excursions for you with local companies. Horse riding, mountain biking, surfing, windsurfing, kite surfing, jet-ski, fishing, motocross, quads, etc. are also available. Film crews are welcome, I can offer help with location scouting, etc.
